When did you first realise the fashion industry was for you?
“From the age of 8 or 9 years old I was interested in fashion. I was already making clothes for my dolls with hand sewing. At that time I didn’t know what a fashion designer was until I started studying A-Level Art & Design. I had to choose one major for university, So I studied BA Fashion Design and MA Fashion. I found it hard to identify one profession, because there will be more coming in my life. I just wanted to create.”
Can you tell us about one project that you’re particularly proud of?
“Of all my work, I’m most proud of my 2019 Morphvis Project. Highly visible tech textile materials ATH-LUXE development for modern gymgoers, runners and cyclists.
Futuristic activewear will take on new prominence in technical apparel, moving on from safety-focused ‘see me’ accents to ‘must-be-seen-in’ statements for the day-to-night athlete stand out both on-screen and in real life.”
What are your words to live by…
“Happiness is achieved when you stop waiting for it to happen, and take steps to make it happen. Find the opportunities hidden in each day. Be proud of who I am.”
