Meet Zoe, interior designer,  founder of Zoe Willis Design and member of WorkShop London. Zoe tells us about her passion for design, her inspiration and her advice for life…

When did you realise you wanted to be an Interior Designer?

‘Since forever! But I never had the guts to leave my well paid corporate job in media and fashion. Then COVID hit and that all fell away so I thought ‘now is the time to start over’ and I did. I set up ZWD during the first lockdown and have never looked back. I started with my builder partner helping me and now have four builders on had to turn my scribbles into reality. It’s the best job ever!’

Do you have a project that you’re extra proud of?

‘I just finished a house in Kensal Rise (photos about to be published) which was a mid century paradise with nods to 80’s post modernism. But I also created a very bold bathroom in East Dulwich last year that I love and the clients still rave about! The brief was Victorian/ Scandi/ Midcentury with a free standing bathtub and a walk in shower!! But I got it all in and into a tiny space and the results are pretty cool if I do say so myself!’

What do you do when you are not creating?

‘Aside from attending to every whim of my rescue terrier Chris, you will find me boxing or drinking margaritas at Taqueria!’

What do you like about being a member at WorkShop?

‘The space, the people, the creativity and the sense of togetherness that you just won’t find at any corporate co-working space.’

What is your motto for life?

‘The Universe has your back… trust in this. It’s 100% true.’
